Bosozoku – Japanese subculture that emerged in the 50s of last century.
Its followers are engaged in a strange tuning cars and motorcycles.
Very often – illegally.
Examples of such modifications.

B?s?zoku is a Japanese subculture associated with motorcycle clubs and gangs.

They were first seen in the 1950s as the Japanese automobile industry expanded rapidly. The first b?s?zoku were known as kaminari-zoku (?? “Lightning Tribes”).

The word b?s?zoku is also applied to motorcycle gangs, who share an interest in modifications (often illegal) for motorcycles, such as removing the mufflers so that more noise is produced. These b?s?zoku groups also engage in dangerous or reckless driving, such as weaving in traffic, not wearing motorcycle helmets, and running red lights. Another activity is shinai b?s? (????) speeding in city streets, not usually for street racing but more for thrills. With many bikes involved, the leading one is driven by the sent?sha (???), the leader, who is responsible for the event and is not allowed to be overtaken. Japanese police call them Maru-S? (police code ???), and dispatch a police vehicle to trail any groups of bikes to prevent any possible incidents, which can include riding through suburbs at speeds of 5–10 miles an hour, creating a loud disturbance and waving imperial Japanese flags, to starting fights which can include weapons such as wooden swords, metal pipes, baseball bats and Molotov cocktails. These b?s?zoku gangs are generally composed of people under the legal adult age, which in Japan is 20 years old, and are subject to increasing state and police pressure.

B?s?zoku are known to modify their bikes in peculiar and often showy ways. A typical customized bosozoku bike usually consists of an average Japanese road bike that appears to combine elements of an American chopper style bike and a British café racer, for example: over-sized fairings like those found on café racers, raised handle bars like those on a chopper. Loud paint jobs on the fenders or the gas tanks with motifs such as flames or kamikaze style “rising sun” designs are also quite common. The bikes will often be adorned with stickers and/or flags depicting the gang’s symbol or logo. There are also marked regional differences in motorcycle modifications. For example, Ibaraki b?s?zoku are known to modify their motorcycles in an extensively colorful, flashy way. They will often have three or four oversized fairings in a tower like way in a motorcycle painted in bright yellow or pink with Christmas light–like adornments.

Bosozoku also have a distinct style of car modification, eponymously called “bosozoku style”. These cars are often modified with large exhaust pipes, bright paint, and large aero kits. Also popular are oil coolers or less commonly large turbo or supercharger intercoolers with highly polished tubing, usually mounted in a prominent position in the front bumper.

  1. hey u arent the only 1 who has writers block…i’ve been having this for over a month now but i’m getting back on track! i had the exact same problem because i just thought that i wouldn’t be able to create this story or watever it is that i am composing and when i made a move to begin again, all that would come out is stuff that i really wouldnt need and then i’d just end up wasting my time! it was really horrible! so i tried something really easy. i went out for a couple of days and tried to do something else! like instead of composing and working on my story, i read many novels and not only did that change my grouchy mood that i generally get when i have writers obstruct, but i learned how to write better!! it worked for me! i also took about and hour of my time and just got a pen and a peice of paper, and sat down and wrote all the points that came correct on top of my head, but that didnt really work out for me. most others that answered this question said that they would wind up with a very long list and then just edit it out until they come up with a very good answer for their story i think that that is a great way but like u said that watever u are thinking about and u put it down on paper and u get garbage and points that u know wouldnt work, then there’s no point in doing that!! what i’ve been doing is stop thinking about my story or watever that i’m working on and start doing some thing that would take my mind off of it..
    .like i went sky-diving the other day and i really really liked it!!! but when i’m reading books, i’m always on a look out for tips that would make me a better writer..
    ..
    so i’m in a way not thinking about it but then again i’m always on a lookout..
    …so take some time off for some time and do something that u enjoy but dont totally forget about your work! lol..
    ..=).
    ..i must sound really weird but it acutally works! i mean i speak from an experience and writers block has been with me for a month now but i’m really on my way to writing my story!!!

  2. You need to go to a university library and ask a professional librarian to help you locate this type of subject. He or she is a expert researcher and will be able to aid you in your quest to locate literature, biographical information, new articles and other types of publications about this subject.
