Huh! social media is inverting our lives! that’s true but it is more of a marketing now as well. Linkin` Park the alternative rock band from Canada shows how?
Linkin` Park is all set to launch their new album named “The Catalyst” and to promote that and to find some new grooves for existing tracks of the album the band switched to the mighty palace of all living beings – the internet.
Game began and contestants started rolling in with funky remixes of their released track from the album i.e. The catalyst which is the title track of the album.
Linkin` Park’s earlier hit was Minutes to Midnight but that album was more of a soft rock thing with meaningful songs… no no no, i am not saying that their next album has meaningless grooves but it is not like the previous album.
One can remember their introductory tracks from Hybrid Theory from the Catalyst.
Linkin` Park went on crazy with the selection as the count was more than 2 million and finally, yeah! the results are out and the winner *drumroll* is a guy named “NoBrain”.
Awesome combination of grooves and funky tones that made the song look more interesting.
Mike Shinoda who is keyboard player, emcee and rapper from the band said that NoBrain’s remix reminded him of the album’s tracks which were somewhat interconnected.
He also said that everyone who sent them a remix of their track is now a part of Linkin` Park’s journey to give another hit to rock music fans all over the world.
